Take a piece of felt and some GOI paste. Put the paste on the felt and begin to actively polish the plate with active movements. This method is perhaps the best option to return the original look of an army badge. But if it has deep scratches, it is better not to use the paste, since it will clog in them and give the product a greenish color.

Try to clean the plaque using toothpaste or powder. Apply a small amount of paste to a wet toothbrush and rub the product thoroughly. Then rinse in cool water and wipe with a soft cloth.

Mix hydrogen peroxide in a ratio of 50/50 with water, add a little ammonia and immerse a plate in the resulting solution. Wait about 7-12 hours, then just brush the metal with a sponge or toothbrush and rinse under running water.

Use a jewelry plaque cleaner. Buy it at the store. Pour the required amount of liquid into a small container and lower the plate into it for 5-10 minutes. After that, you will notice that she began to shine like new without much effort.

Boil the potatoes and remove it from the water. Immerse the plate in the resulting broth and boil for about 30 minutes. After which it will again be clean and shiny. Similarly, you can boil the product in a solution of citric acid (2 sachets per 300 ml of boiling water), but make sure that the water does not run out of the container, as it will begin to foam.

Give the army plaque to a jewelry workshop. The master for a nominal fee will clear it of plaque. Well, if after cleaning it very quickly dims and darkens, it means that there are a lot of microcracks in the metal. In this case, it is easier to replace.

Do not use aggressive acids for cleaning - the plaque will oxidize and turn black. Better make a little effort and clean the product in a gentle way.
