It is very difficult to remove a permanent or indelible marker, because it is made just to stay firmly on the surface. But, there are situations when the marker is applied to the wrong surface or an error was found in the inscription. The following are several solutions to the problem.
1. Walls for painting.
If the walls are painted, mix ordinary baking soda with toothpaste in a ratio of 1: 1 to a paste-like consistency and using a soft sponge, gently massage the area of the dirt with massaging movements. When the marker is clean, use a clean, damp sponge to remove any signs of contamination.
2. Hard smooth surface.
One of the easiest ways to solve the problem is to take an alcohol-containing liquid, moisten a soft cloth or cotton pad and wash off any unnecessary marks from the marker. Some nail polish removers can also cope with this task. Here you can apply the well-known acetone.
3. Fabrics.
The easiest and riskiest way is to use bleach or Domestos. The main rule is to act quickly and not take your eyes off the tissue. If the fabric is delicate, for example, natural silk or it contains acetate fiber, it is better not to risk it or to try the effect of bleach on the test area of the fabric. Otherwise, the tissue may simply dissolve in your hands. The same applies to dyed fabrics - color may disappear at the place of use of the product.
So, if you determine that the fabric is resistant to bleach, lay the fabric on your palm and add some bleach to the marker ink. As soon as you see them dissolve, rinse the bleach with a jet of water. If necessary, you can wash this area with soap and rinse thoroughly with water.
And now about delicate satin fabrics: 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 tablespoon of borax, 1 tablespoon of vinegar and ½ tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the solution to the fabric. After 10 minutes, gently remove ink from the fabric with a soft sponge.
For cotton fabric, citrus juice of lemon or lime can be suitable, which you need to squeeze on a stain. Allow to infuse and remove the stain with a soft sponge.
4. Carpet
Depending on the composition and color of the carpet, a permanent marker from the pile can be removed either with alcohol-containing substances or with bleaches. The main rule here is not to rub the pile. Put the cleaning agent on the cloth and gently soak the pile alternately with a wet and dry cloth so that the marker dissolves and soaks into the dry cloth. Do not spill over the clean surface of the carpet.
5. Furniture.
The fabric surfaces of the furniture are cleaned of a permanent marker with 9% hydrogen peroxide, which is applied to the stain and then cleaned with another clean cloth.
Leather furniture, including eco-leather, can be cleaned with alcohol.
6. The body.
Alcohol will also help remove a permanent marker from the body. Just wipe the contaminated area with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and then rinse with water.
