Planning is a very useful skill. It helps to better achieve the intended, and often also great to save resources. Planning the menu will save you from the everyday question “What to cook for dinner?”, Will save you from the situation when you forgot to remove the meat for goulash from the freezer, and significantly save the family budget.

In order to start planning the menu, you need to make a couple of simple tables. In the first, collect all the dishes that you know how to cook. In the top line write the types of dishes, for example:

  • meat dishes,
  • fish dishes,
  • side dishes
  • soups
  • salads
  • breakfast
  • Dessert.

You might want to add some categories. And in the columns under each type of dish write down everything you can cook in this category. You will need this table directly when compiling the menu. With it, you can diversify your table and will not alternate soup and borsch every week, because at the time of compiling the menu for a week they did not remember anything else.

When you finish compiling this table (and it can and should be supplemented in the future), you can make a menu for the coming week. To do this, we again make a table. In it in the left column there will be days of the week, and in the top line - meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, dessert. Start filling the menu with dishes, taking them from the first table. After that, you can make a list of products and go to the store.

Thus, it will take you very little time to compile the menu, and nutrition will always be useful and varied.
