Moving to a new apartment is a joyful, but troublesome business. It is necessary to draw up a clear plan of action and a list of transported things, not to forget anything and take everything into account. In addition to technical aspects, there is another side to the matter - the rituals that new settlers used to use to live well and happily in a new place.
Practical tips
Issue all the documents necessary for moving, so that later there will be no "excruciating pain" for your carelessness.
Take apart all the things. Think about whether it is worth taking everything "acquired by overwork" with you to a new happy life. Usually ¼ all belongings can be safely thrown away or presented to more needy.
Pack the items remaining after the audit in boxes. Number each and make a register - a list of contents on paper or in Excel: box number - a list of things. Do not write on the packaging itself except the number. It is very uncomfortable.
Pack your things 3-4 days before your scheduled move. Keep them as tight as possible. Clothes and shoes can be placed in suitcases and travel bags. Put everything else into boxes and pack it properly. First add the ones you least need, and last but not least, the essentials. These include - 2-3 pots, a frying pan, cutlery, towels, bedding and underwear, toiletries.
Put furniture and carpets in order - clean, vacuum, wash. Do not drive old dirt to a new place.
Prepare a new apartment for the move. Embed the locks (if required) in the front door, check the plumbing, windows, ventilation, electrical wiring. Think about how you will place furniture, boxes, where to determine the sleeping places for all family members. This is especially important if it is not possible to put everything in full order first, and only then populate it.
