Owners of Indesit washing machines are not so often, but they face such a problem: after loading clothes into the drum and plugging in the plug, the washing machine does not start, the lights do not light up and there is no choice of program. Why the Indesit washing machine does not turn on and the washing program does not start? There are several main reasons.

Outlet disconnected

First of all, you need to pay attention to the outlet to which you connect the washing machine. Does it work? Does it produce the necessary voltage? After all, perhaps the cause of the malfunction is precisely in it. To do this, just connect any other working device to this outlet. It is also worth trying to connect the plug of the washing machine to another outlet, preferably in another room. This is easy to do with an extension cord. If the machine works when connected to another outlet, but the cause of the malfunction is not in it.

Power button does not work

If the washing machine is not new, then pay attention to the power button: it may have sunk or burned out. Click on it several times. If it is pressed freely and does not hold anything, then the option of its retraction is excluded. In older Indesit models, quite often when the power button is closed, the entire system is de-energized and the washing machine cannot be turned on. This reason is quickly determined, because for this you only need to disassemble the control module and measure the resistance of the included button. If the matter is in it, then you need to remove the burned out, buy and put a new button.

Damaged plug, cord or FPS

If there are no problems with the outlet and the button, then you should carefully inspect the plug and cord of the washing machine. They may be melted or damaged. If, during an external examination, the cause could not be identified, then the network cable may be damaged. Pay attention to the network wire and FPS. To do this, you should carefully disconnect them (remove the special mount at the base of the case and pull out the FPS along with the wire and plug). Disconnect the network cable from the FPS and ring it with a multimeter. If the wire does not ring, then the reason is in it and it needs to be replaced. FPS is checked using probes that are placed on the capacitor contacts. By ringing and checking the resistance, you can find out whether the FGS caused the washing machine to not work.

Chip or other internal damage does not work

Power surges in the network often entail the burning of varistors of the microcircuit. You should not repair them yourself, as this can lead to the fact that the entire microcircuit may deteriorate and you will have to change it all. If the cause of the malfunction is precisely in the microcircuit, then it requires replacement.
