Baby socks get dirty very quickly: especially those that are white. So that washing does not take much effort, there are small tricks to whiten children's socks, golf and tights.
Ways to whiten socks
To whiten children's socks, use gentle means. For example, instead of potent bleach, take boric acid. Dissolve 1-2 tbsp. substances in 10 liters of water. Put white socks, knee socks or tights in the solution for 2 hours. After this time, just wash your clothes.
Our great-grandmothers washed laundry soap. Try this tool too: it should be marked "for spots." Before the main wash, wash the wet socks and let them lie down for a couple of hours. Then wash in a typewriter. If the stains do not go away, try rubbing them with a brush.
Socks can be bleached with hydrogen peroxide. Dilute in 10 liters of hot water 2 tbsp. hydrogen peroxide and 1 tbsp. ammonia. Keep the socks in the solution for a couple of hours, and then wash. This method is suitable for white items with a grayish tint from long wear.
If dirty socks do not give in, boil them in water with lemon. Pour water into a large saucepan and drop the sliced lemon into it. For 1 liter of water, use 1 large slice of lemon. Boil water for 5 minutes, then remove the lemon. Put the washed socks in this water and boil them for 25 minutes. Then remove and wring out. Things will have a pleasant lemon smell: you do not need to rinse them. This method is only suitable for cotton socks. For synthetic and wool it is better to use ordinary laundry soap.
If all attempts to wash your socks fail, use a mixture of detergent and a dry or liquid dishwashing detergent. Dissolve these substances in water and wash your socks. Do not try to make a very large concentration of the substance, otherwise you risk losing socks.
When washing in a car, use regular mustard. But add 50 grams of the substance not to the powder compartment, but directly to the drum. If the socks are very dirty, apply mustard to problem areas. The temperature maximum during washing should be + 40 ° C. If the water is too hot, the mustard powder will simply boil in it. Soda is considered a gentle bleach. Use a quarter cup on a basin of hot water.
