Vodka is widely known as a strong alcoholic drink that can destroy the family, health and human life. But if you eliminate the excessive use of vodka inside, it turns out that it can be very useful for health, beauty and domestic needs.
The widely known disinfecting properties of vodka allow it to be used successfully for the manufacture of cosmetics intended for skin and hair care.
Vodka in cosmetology
A surprisingly effective tincture that promotes hair growth, the appearance of shine and the elimination of excessive fat can be prepared from 250 g of dry black tea and 500 ml of high-quality vodka.
Pour tea with vodka, insist for about 3-4 hours, after which the tincture is filtered and poured into a dark glass bottle. Rub the tincture into the scalp, warm it with a plastic cap and a towel and leave it to work for 40-60 minutes. The procedure is repeated no more than 2 times a week with oily hair, and 1 time in 10 days - with dry and normal hair.
For porous and acne prone skin, the use of lemon lotion is beneficial. To prepare a cleansing and anti-inflammatory agent, you will need a finely chopped, unpeeled lemon, drenched in a glass of good vodka.
The lotion should be infused in a dark place for at least a week, after which it is used to cleanse the face twice a day. In severely neglected cases, tincture is used in the form of a mask: they impregnate a thin layer of tissue with the product and apply it to the face, avoiding the area around the eyes and lips. After 10-15 minutes, the mask is washed off with warm water.
Vodka disinfection and cleaning
Like all drinks based on alcohol, vodka inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria well. You can use this property to preserve the freshness of a bouquet of cut flowers. To do this, add half a glass of vodka and a teaspoon of sugar to the vase. If the vase is small, then just add 2-3 tablespoons of vodka and a little granulated sugar.
To clean the dirt and eliminate mold in the seams of the tiles of the bathroom and kitchen, it is not necessary to purchase expensive cleaning products. It is enough to pour the cheapest vodka into the spray bottle, spray it on the tile and leave it to work for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hot water.
It is possible to clean and disinfect razor blades, massage brushes, combs with traces of styling products, toothbrushes and other household items for personal use if you place them in a container filled with vodka.
Wooden combs swelling from prolonged exposure to liquid are wiped with a cotton swab moistened with vodka.
