The most common reason for the failure of the washing machine is scale formation on the heating elements (heating elements). To avoid this, you can put a magnetic filter on the pipe through which water enters the drum. It retains calcium and magnesium, which form scale. For the same purpose, use a softener for washing when washing.
These measures cannot completely protect the heating elements from scale. Every 20 washings, it is necessary to clean the heating elements. Pour 0.5 cups of citric acid or the special Anti-scale agent into the hopper for washing powder in accordance with the instructions. Without putting laundry in the drum, start a full washing cycle at a temperature of 90 ° C. When heated, alkaline deposits dissolve in an acidic environment.
Carefully read the instructions for putting laundry into the drum. Do not wash only one thing and do not overload the machine - this accelerates the wear of bearings and shock absorbers. Before washing, check pockets of clothing - coins, paper clips and other small metal objects can damage the sealing rubber of the drum. Metal bones of bras and jewelry on jeans can also damage rubber.
Use detergent for automatic washing machines. Handwash powder forms more foam, which can fill the electronic components of the machine. The “right” powder should also not be abused - the laundry will not become cleaner from this, and plentiful foam can damage the electronics. Do not machine wash anything stained with oil products.
After washing, wipe the drum, sealing rubber, and detergent tray with a soft, dry cloth. Leave them half open until completely dry. Make sure that there is no plaque in the tray. If the water drain hole is rusty, clean it with soap and an old toothbrush. Check the drain pump filter regularly.
