Dividing the kitchen into zones
As a rule, a standard kitchen can be divided into a cooking zone, a dining area and an additional one, in which a resting place or another work surface can be placed. In the cooking area, there is usually a kitchen set with built-in appliances. In the eating area, there is usually no need to place sockets, unless it is used as a second desktop. An additional kitchen area, if any, should be provided with at least two outlets or three if a light fixture is planned.
Sockets for connecting equipment
The placement of household appliances needs to be planned in advance. As a rule, the kitchen must have an oven, stove, range hood, washing machine and dishwasher. Also in the kitchens of apartment buildings usually place a gas water heater or boiler, which require a network connection. Of the additional consumers, one can single out a TV, lighting devices, and small household appliances.
Sockets for built-in and stationary kitchen appliances are best placed 30 centimeters from the floor, hiding them behind the lower tier of the kitchen set. The outlet for the hood should be placed secretly behind the upper tier, the same applies to the heating tank, gas boiler and kitchen lighting. The socket for it, by the way, can be powered through a switch for more convenient control of lighting. It should be noted that high-power consumers require a separate line with a high-cross-section cable laid from the distribution panel. At the same time, other outlets can be combined into groups.
