Items made of white fur look elegant and can be easily combined with other wardrobe items. However, over time, light fur coats and hats change color to yellowish gray. There are several simple ways to solve this problem.

Peel yellowed fur with potato starch or semolina. These substances are natural adsorbents and well absorb various impurities. Sprinkle starch or cereal in a small area of fur. Gently rub the pile with clean and dry hands. As it becomes contaminated, the adsorbent must be replaced. After completing the cleaning procedure, treat the item with a special fur brush.

Heavily contaminated fur should be covered with potato starch and sprinkled on top with a shampoo solution or detergent for woolen fabrics. Rub the resulting slurry over the fur with your hands. After drying, shake it off and remove any residue with a brush.

Prevent re-yellowing of white fur by treating it with a solution of hydrogen peroxide. Dissolve a teaspoon of peroxide in a glass of warm water and add 4-5 drops of ammonia. Apply the resulting product on a fur with a cotton swab or disk.

Remove individual dark spots from white fur with a concentrated solution of hydrogen peroxide. Dissolve three teaspoons of peroxide in a glass of water. Carefully process the dirty area of the fur. Make sure that the solution does not get on the thin hairs of the undercoat.
