There are a large number of varieties of blue mink fur, from which elegant and unusually beautiful hats are sewn. Such a hat will not let you freeze even in the most severe weather. However, light fur with improper care quickly loses its former attractiveness, turns yellow and becomes covered with random spots. So how to clean a hat from a blue mink?

Instruction manual

1

To clean a heavily soiled blue mink hat, you need starch, which should be thoroughly sprinkled with a fur product and lightly rubbed. Then pour a warm soapy solution (with shampoo or powder for delicate fabrics) into the spray bottle. Sprinkle the starch on the cap and gently rub the resulting mass with your hands. After the starch mixture has dried, brush it off and shake it well. It is not recommended to keep the fur hat close to heating appliances, otherwise the fur will become roughened and yellow. To make it convenient to clean the hat, put it on a three-liter jar, pre-wrapped in a towel.

2

A blue mink hat will sooner or later turn yellow. To get rid of it, prepare the following solution: dilute one tablespoon of ammonia in a glass of warm water. Moisten a cotton swab or cosmetic disc in a solution of ammonia and gently wipe the cap in the direction of growth of the pile. At the same time, try not to wet the mesdra, otherwise it will become hard and brittle.

3

Grease stains from blue mink can be removed using the following recipe: mix one tablespoon of table salt and three tablespoons of ammonia in half a liter of warm water. Apply the solution to the contaminated areas of the cap with a cotton swab and rub gently. Then wipe the fur with a slightly damp soft sponge and dry under natural conditions.

4

If the cap of blue mink is very dirty, you will need refined gasoline (aviation or which is used to refuel lighters), in which starch should be kneaded. Gently rub the fur with the resulting gruel and let it dry. It remains only to shake the cap and comb with a special brush (you can comb with frequent teeth). For safety reasons, it is advisable to carry out this cleaning procedure in a well-ventilated place.
