Clothing made of fur requires careful care, especially for the collar. It is in this place that greasy spots often form which should be cleaned. Mink collar can be cleaned at home without the help of dry cleaners.
You will need
- - rye or wheat bran, brush;
- - ammonia, table salt, cotton pads;
- - burnt magnesia, refined gasoline;
- - ammonia, water, liquid detergent, cotton swab or gauze.

If the mink collar is too greasy, clean it with hot bran (rye or wheat). Put the bran in a metal dish and put on a small fire, stir continuously with your hand until it becomes hot. Sprinkle the heated bran on a fur collar and rub it thoroughly with your hands, cleaning the entire product area by area. After the procedure, shake off the bran, beat the collar and comb with a special brush. Heavily contaminated fur should be cleaned 2-3 times.

The spots of fat and sweat on the fur collar will be cleaned well with the following composition: mix one teaspoon of ammonia with three teaspoons of table salt, add half a liter of water. Mix everything thoroughly, moisten a cotton pad in the prepared composition and clean the collar, moving in the direction of growth of the pile.

The light mink collar can be brushed with burnt magnesia and refined gasoline, which is sold for refueling lighters. It quickly erodes and leaves no spots. Before immediate cleaning, shake the fur product, then apply the cooked pulp and rub against the pile. Shake off contaminated powder and brush off any remaining powder. After the fur is completely dry, comb it. The fur will become clean and white again, and the smell of gasoline will quickly disappear.

Pour 50 milliliters of warm water into a small container, add a couple drops of ammonia and one drop of any liquid detergent (dishwashing liquid or liquid soap). Mix the prepared solution well and soak a cotton or gauze swab in it, carefully treat the entire collar, moving against the growth of the pile. After drying completely, comb the mink collar.

In no case do not try to dry the fur product near heating appliances and in direct sunlight. This will lead to drying of the mezra, and, accordingly, to damage to things.
