The larger the thermos, the better it keeps the temperature. This is especially important when such a product is purchased for long trips. It’s excellent if there will be a special button on it that will allow you to pour liquid without having to remove the cover. Then the hot liquid will cool extremely slowly.
Pay attention to what material the thermos is made of. The most durable are those products that are made of stainless steel. They must be equipped with a metal flask. Then, with drops and bumps, the products will not deteriorate. Thermoses from other metals, equipped with glass flasks, are short-lived and fragile.
Check the thermos for workmanship. Take it and shake it hard. During this, no extraneous sounds should be observed. Their presence indicates that the bulb and the inside of the product are poorly fixed, which means that during transportation or use they can be damaged.
Check the thermos for odors. Unscrew the lid, remove the cork and sniff. If you feel a pungent odor, then this indicates that the product is made of low-quality materials. It is definitely not worth buying it, since drinking liquid from it will be unhealthy. In addition, it will have an unpleasant aftertaste and smell.
Pay attention to the tightness of the thermos plug. It should fit tightly into the neck. At the same time, the purchase of a thermos with a twisting stopper is considered optimal, since it keeps the temperature much better.
Find out the active time of the thermos. This parameter can be seen on the product box. Thermoses with steel flasks must maintain a temperature of at least 8 hours, and with glass ones - at least 6 hours. If lower parameters are specified by this criterion, then look for a product from another manufacturer.
