Monolithic brick houses have several undeniable advantages. The technology of this type of house building allows you to build housing in a short time and independently choose the layout of premises.
The basis of brick-monolithic houses is a frame made of concrete. External walls are built of bricks. This technology is relatively new and fundamentally different from panel house building, despite the fact that both of them use monolithic concrete. But in the first case, the house is being built using removable formwork, and in the second - from ready-made slabs.
Pros and cons of a monolithic brick house
The most indisputable advantage of a monolithic brick structure is the absence of seams with which panel and other houses abound. The brick from which the walls enclosing the frame are constructed can be of different colors and textures. Therefore, such buildings can not be called the same type: each of them has its own peculiarity. They have significantly greater durability than panel ones, which, on average, have worked perfectly for no more than 50 years.
The construction of monolithic-brick houses is characterized by a high speed of work, which allows the use of this technology in the construction of workers' settlements (for example, at oil wells). This type of house building is also good because it provides the ability to transfer any walls without fear of affecting the strength of the building. These houses are more resistant to soil movements, therefore, have less seismic hazard. They are able to withstand an earthquake with a power of up to 8 points.
Of the disadvantages of this technology, good sound conductivity can be noted, since concrete perfectly transmits various noises. In addition, it has high thermal conductivity. Therefore, in such a house building installation of heat and sound insulating materials is required, which makes construction more expensive. This type of building can only be erected in the warm season, since concrete is not recommended to be poured at temperatures below + 5 ° C.
