The non-standard use of the tint film allows you not only to protect yourself from the sun, but also to decorate the windows in your home or office.

You will need

  • 1) tint film

  • 2) clerical knife,

  • 3) forcing (a rubber spatula is suitable),

  • 4) spray gun (atomizer),

  • 5) detergent

  • 6) a scraper or just a blade.

Instruction manual

1

The choice of the figure that we will create on the window should be approached responsibly:

1) avoid many small elements;

2) do not choose a multi-color picture, limit yourself to two or three colors;

We will make a black flower with a butterfly on a mirror background.

2

It is necessary to cut out the elements of our drawing from the film. I recommend cutting objects with a smaller area in order to further close the application with a background film. So, in our case, the butterfly on the flower will be an application of black tint film, and the mirror film will become the background. There are two ways to cut:

1) with a stationery knife and scissors - this is not a costly, but a long and laborious process;

2) apply a cutting plotter - is in many printing houses, but your drawing in vector format will be required. Drawing will cost 300-500 rubles, cutting on a plotter 250-400 rubles per m2.

3

Now that we have the blanks from the film, prepare the window. For cleaning, you can use a solution from a dishwashing detergent (2-3 drops per 1 liter of water are enough) and a metal scraper. We spray the solution onto the glass so as not to scratch the glass with a scraper and a clean blade. We pay special attention to corners and edges. Dry the glass with a lint-free cloth.

4

On a clean glass, spray the solution again and lay out our drawing (flower with butterfly) after removing the protective liner from the adhesive side of the tint film. Immediately fix the elements on the glass, expelling the solution from under the film with a rubber spatula (forcing). Your movements should be directed from the center to the edges.

5

When the picture (flower with butterfly) is pasted, we need to glue the mirror film. It will be the background for our flower, and also help to keep it for a long time. In the same way, we glue the mirror film in one piece over the entire window area.

For the film to last longer, it makes sense to first remove the window glazing, and after installing the film to install them back, then the edges of the film will be protected and no one will damage your drawing by negligence or intentionally.
