Foam rubber is better to choose thicker. Or perform at least two-layer packing. Layers are each 12.5 cm thick. Having determined the sizes you need, make a cutting of foam rubber - it is better to do this together with an assistant.

Perform a pattern on the fabric designed to fit the mattress. It is necessary to leave a few centimeters of fabric for stock. So that you can wash the cover, you need to sew it like a pillowcase, with a zipper or overlap. In length, add about twenty centimeters to the pattern for this purpose.

Sew a well-made cover on a sewing machine, sew the seams with a zigzag or overlock. Now take the prepared folded foam rubber, put the cover on it. Foam mattress is ready.

If a padding polyester or batting is used for stuffing, work on its production begins with a cover. It is sewn like a bag, on one side of which a zipper is sewn. The finished cover is filled with stuffing, and so that it does not stray into lumps, the mattress is additionally stitched through - you can do this in the form of rhombs or squares.

With spring blocks, the mattress does so. They put all the springs in order, vertically, so that the ends are at the same level. At the bottom, you need to fix everything with the help of wooden slats. The spring is strapped - with the help of a strong cord, all the springs are tied along and along the diagonals. Burlap is laid on top of the structure, then a batting layer, after which the mattress is covered with fabric, which must be fixed with a stapler.
