Washable wallpapers must be washed with great care. One awkward movement - and a wet gap may form on the surface. To wash the wallpaper without consequences, you need to prepare the right solution and carefully clean the surface.

You will need

  • - wallpaper

  • - soft cloth / sponge

  • - dry absorbent cloth / sponge

  • - dishwashing detergent or soap chips

  • - pelvis

  • - mixer

Instruction manual

1

Type in a basin of warm water. Prepare a construction or regular mixer, turn it on and carefully lower it into water. Pour dishwashing liquid in small doses. Beat the mixture until a good, dense foam is formed.

2

If the impurities are not very strong, a soap solution can be used to prepare the foam. For cleaning colored wallpaper - from ordinary laundry soap, for white - from bleaching. You can also use liquid detergent.

3

Take a foam sponge or soft cloth (such as microfiber). Wet it in water, squeeze it well. Scoop some foam.

4

Before you clean the entire surface of the wallpaper, you need to check them "for durability." To do this, select a small piece that is not very visible. For example, one of the bottom corners. If after repair you have leftover wallpaper, check the suds on them.

5

Apply prepared foam to the test area. Do not make an effort! Just gently, with forward movements, blot the wallpaper with a sponge.

6

Using a dry sponge / cloth, remove any remaining foam and droplets. Wait for the test plot to dry. Check it for quality. If it does not deform, does not begin to bubble and the paint remains in place, you can proceed to the main pollution.

7

To clean a heavily soiled surface, proceed as in the test area. Main conditions: do not apply force and do not rub the wallpaper, otherwise the thin top layer of the PVC film will burst. Just apply foam and blot the soiled area. Remove residual moisture with a dry cloth or sponge.

8

Let the cleaned place dry. If the dirt remains, do not immediately start washing the wallpaper again - they must dry not only on the surface, but also inside. Remember that frequent washing of washable wallpapers leads to their rapid wear.

note

Do not use washing or other powders to prepare the solution.
