How to get rid of plaque in the bathroom

On plumbing fixtures, limescale is formed due to poor quality and increased water hardness. You can deal with it with the help of the funds that are in the arsenal of every housewife.

- cleaning products;
- soda;
- a rag;
- acetic acid;
- oxalic acid;
- lemon acid;
- bleach;
- washing powder;
- a brush.

Use acid. Heated vinegar, citric or oxalic acid solution will help in the fight against plaque. Put the product on a rag and wipe the area affected by lime smudges. Lime is easily dissolved and washed off with water. Vinegar perfectly copes with dirt, rust and limescale. Caution must be exercised with oxalic acid, as It can harm enamel.

Use cleaning products (various pastes, gels, etc.). In the assortment of stores there are many different cleaning products aimed at combating plaque. For example, “Shumanit”, “Silit”, “Amway”, “Domestos”, etc. Using a rag, apply the product on the surface and leave it for the time specified in the instructions. Then wash the bottom and the walls of the bath well. Clean the dirt and grease with a nylon brush, flushing them along with a stream of warm water. If there are no suitable cleaners, they can be replaced with a mixture of soda and soap.

Use bleach. It will easily remove the yellowish coating. Dilute the bleach to the consistency of thick sour cream. Cover the walls of the bathtub with the mixture and wait until it dries. Then wipe the surface with a damp cloth.

Use thinner for oil paints and turpentine in the fight against soap plaque. Wipe the dry surface of the bath with a cloth moistened with turpentine or thinner. Then wash it using washing powder.

Use mechanical methods. When cleaning plaque, use microfiber rags and melamine sponges.

Place the shower with the hose in a bag filled with water, add acetic acid. Leave the bag in the bucket for half an hour. After the specified time, the coating will exfoliate itself. Remove residues with a wooden spatula.
