There are several types of materials from which you can make a garage. This building can be both capital and temporary. The most inexpensive garage is from corrugated board. From a suitable lumber, you can also build a warm and budget design.
A garage is an essential building for car owners. If the question arose: what to make of it, then you need to do it yourself, without the help of hired workers and special construction equipment. In this case, it is best to erect a shallow tape or column foundation. And the walls and roof can be made of corrugated board, sheet iron, brick or timber. The easiest way is to make a garage from a profiled metal profile (corrugated board) on your own.
What will be needed to build a garage from corrugated board?
Not inferior in strength, moisture resistance, durability to metal siding and metal tile, profiled sheet has a lower price. This makes it the most attractive material for building a garage. But one professional sheet is indispensable: you will need metal corners or a channel for mounting the frame to which the metal profile sheets will be attached. In addition, insulation will be required, otherwise the car will have to be regularly heated in the cold season.
As a heat insulator, you can use a sheet of foam 5-10 cm thick or glass wool in rolls and plates. It can be replaced with any other fiber-based material: mineral wool, stone wool, basalt. But the most budget option is glass wool. The inner lining of the garage can be made of drywall, moisture-proof plywood 8-10 mm thick, OSB boards 8-9 mm thick, tongue-and-groove panels. If necessary, you can sheathe the inner walls with any finishing material: plastic panels, lining, artificial stone.
The garage from corrugated board is advantageous in that, due to the waterproofness of this material, external wall decoration is not required. If the climate in the region of residence is warm, the cost of insulation and interior decoration will be minimal. The roof of such a garage is built like walls. The floor can be made unpaved with a clay castle or pour concrete screed. In the second case, self-leveling mixtures can be used, which will significantly reduce the complexity of the work and accelerate them.
